For the past six years, The Capelli Club has spent ample time and energy raising money and volunteering services for local charities. We have given hundreds of donations to charities to help them raise money at their events; many valued at $350 each.
Since spring of 2018, we have already made over 25 donations to charities; therefore giving away $8,750 worth of revenue.
This morning, we received an email from a person who complained about a transaction they made with a charity at some event. They, apparently, received one of our donated items. This person refuses to provide us with any information--what charity is involved, what event they were at, the date--nothing that would help us even try to be of assistance. However, we were provided with several nasty emails making unrealistic and unfair demands in disturbing, abusive language, threatening us, threatening my business. This morning has us completely discouraged and very saddened.
Do people understand that items donated by local businesses are DONATED? They are given for free. The charities give their approval of the items upon receipt and use them at their free will to make money. They get the profit. The small businessperson doesn't share in the profit. It's given because we want to help!
Just this week, The Capelli Club has received three more requests for donated items. Now what should we do? We are second guessing our efforts. Are they appreciated?
We will create and post a video that addresses these emails from the charity attender (not a client) with the purpose to help Charities and their event volunteers understand the importance of how they represent and display donated items from local businesses and the danger of imposing undue stress and hardship on small business owners who are being taken away from the precious time that needs to be given to clients, customers, projects, staff, and all other responsibilities vital to keeping our doors open.
Also, The Capelli Club does not condone harassment, threats or bullying in our workplace or in our community. We sponsor events that raise awareness against these behaviours. Even so, we have endured this behaviour far too many times and have had to weather many storms of people who use the threat of social media to extort goods and services. I'm done!! Something needs to be done about this kind of harassment. How is this any different than when a business is extorted money by being offered "protection"? From now on, those who wish start a conversation with us using insults, threats, abusive or demeaning speech, please know that we will close out the case as soon as possible and ask you not to step foot in our location. We will continue to make it our practice to give our pearls to polite, kind and respectful people. And do we give--We give and we give.
P.S. I do not want a location this bad. I can sew at home!
*Because I have a physical location, I am a "public figure" and therefore vulnerable to being treated this way with no recourse. Time to change this. Maybe my new venture? Anyone who knows me, knows when I put my mind to something, I get results!

Cris Mac accommodates her clients anyway she can. Her most recent example was this past Saturday when she worked in studio till after 10 pm in order to make sure her clients felt refreshed, felt beautiful and even had some incredible lashes for date night. Last minute, emergency appointment? Cris Mac is there! When a girl needs to flirt, a girl needs her lashes. Synthetic mink vegan lash extensions get it right every time.
Our very own Cris MacIntosh is a participating artist in the Paint Off tomorrow! Local Artists have 30 minutes to paint a 24" by 24" canvas after the theme announced! The works are then added to the silent auction and the money goes towards the Charity!
We are very exited to not only be donating Gift Certificates and a Gift Basket to this great cause, but to also be getting creative and having fun!

MAC + PUCCI Studio will be sponsoring and volunteering for the 5th Edition of Runway for Hope. The Belletto Club component of the Studio will be lending Cris Mac for one day as she leads her makeup team and creates makeup looks for the show.
We are excited to be a part of this local fashion show for the third time as it showcases local designers, hair stylists and makeup artists; all to support CHEO, Ottawa's children hospital.
Runwayforhope.ca is offering $25 student tickets.
With that ticket, students will also be able to bus over to the fabulously new and improved Lansdowne Park...for free! What a great opportunity.
The Capelli Club (TCC) has reached more goals (we have several haha)!
Not only is Ele Bridal filling up with beautiful Bridal Accessories but we have again sold winter fashions for local Artisans and we have sold paintings for another local Artist!
Having Fashions, Accessories and Paintings for sale on consignment has helped TCC grow & has help facilitate local talent. TCC does not believe in clutter which is why we limit what pieces are on display in the boutique salon location at 10 Bayswater Ave.
Be sure to check out the in salon portfolios and catalogs that we have created in order to showcase local talent.
Believe it or not, TCC flips beautifully from a salon to an event venue (it was design to do this) and this is where we host our fashion events , exhibits and tutorial evenings.
Keep an ear open for what is next! Want to be apart of one? Contact us at info@TheCapelliClub.com
The Capelli Club has been working hard to reach its many goals.
We have grown our artist base and have connected with exceptional talent throughout Ottawa.
We are excited to show you the inside of Coco Armadio, the boutique within the club, as it grows over the months. Designers and artisans are lined up and producing pieces for us, one by one. We are excited to see what they come up with as they expand their lines and tailor their designs to suit the clients of The Capelli Club.
With everyone working hard and busy as bees, new works and new fashions will be here in no time!

Our studio boutique location was opened by Cris Mac and Amy Pucci in 2012.
One of the main motivating factors for Cris Mac to open her own studio boutique location was to have her beloved rescued boxer, Raffaella, at work with her everyday.
Do not be surprised to see a sweet calm little girl happily wiggling to say hello.
The Capelli Club is made up of Mac Professionals who have been trained by MAC, have worked with MAC and who use MAC products. We train, teach and educate using MAC products and techniques. We are NOT MAC retailers. We always provide a MAC shopping list to our students and provide directions to the nearest MAC store. We just love MAC that much!
